The grant application process is in two stages:
Firstly, applicants are invited to write to the Trust Manager outlining the project or work for which they are seeking support. This is then reviewed to ensure it meets the Society’s criteria for support. You are welcome to telephone the Trust Manager for a preliminary discussion prior to writing if this would be helpful.
Secondly, and if it meets the Society’s general criteria, potential applicants will be sent an application form for completion. Completion of the form in no way implies that a grant will be made.
Applications are considered at the next meeting of the Governing Committee (Trustees) and all applicants will be notified of the outcome as soon as is possible following the meeting. It should however be noted that the Trustees only meet three time a year, therefore applications should be made well in advance of the project etc. for which funding is being sought.
Potential applicants should note that it is a condition of any grant that the applicant sends a written report and photographs to the Trust Manager within two months of the grant being made or, if it is a one-off project, following its completion. You should also be aware that grants will not be made to individuals or churches in support of work, however worthy, that is or ought to be the responsibility of the local church/fellowship congregation. e.g. Church-based youth workers, Alpha Courses, local missions etc..
